Scope of Consultancy & Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee procurement, transportation, warehousing, and field distribution of emergency health commodities and humanitarian relief materials.
- Supply Chain Tracking & Monitoring: Maintain log registers and tracking systems for cargo movement, inventory, and last-mile distribution. Identify bottlenecks, transport delays, and access constraints.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Spot operational hazards in emergency transport routes, develop practical contingency plans, and adjust logistics protocols as response conditions evolve.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with internal finance, programs, and security teams, as well as external vendors, local transport providers, and humanitarian logistics mechanisms in Nepal.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Academic background in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations, preferably supporting emergency humanitarian interventions.
- Operational Capabilities: Demonstrated capability in managing transportation, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination in fast-paced or disaster response settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel for inventory and pipeline tracking.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; Nepali or local language proficiency is preferred.
