UNICEF Nepal is seeking a qualified national consultant for the position of Assessment in Emergencies - Consultant to review, revise, and adapt existing learning frameworks and diagnostic assessment tools for emergency and post-emergency contexts.

📄 Contract Duration: 8 Months
🏠 Working Arrangement: Homebased / Remotely (Duty Station: Kathmandu)
🇳🇵 Eligibility: Open for Nationals of Nepal Only
🎯 Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist (Safe Schools), the consultant will:
🔹 Review existing learning frameworks, competency progressions, and diagnostic tools.
🔹 Adapt frameworks for emergency contexts, learning recovery, and accelerated learning.
🔹 Strengthen the inclusion of children with disabilities and multilingual learners.
🔹 Develop practical guidance and build capacity for government, development partners, and implementing agencies.
🎓 Minimum Requirements:
🎓 Education: Advanced university degree (Master's level or higher) in Education, Educational Assessment, Curriculum, Education in Emergencies, Inclusive Education, or International Development.
💼 Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in education sector programming with a focus on assessments, foundational learning, and Education in Emergencies.
🇳🇵 Proven experience working with government education systems (experience in Nepal/South Asia highly desirable).
🗣️ Language: Excellent spoken and written skills in both English and Nepali.
