Scope of Consultancy & Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Processing: Review financial documents for completeness and proper approvals, assist in processing vendor payments, consultant fees, and cash advances, and support month-end closing procedures.
- Cash & Records Management: Oversee petty cash tracking and monthly reconciliations, process advance clearances, prepare cash reports, and maintain organized digital and physical archives.
- Compliance & Statutory Adherence: Ensure all financial transactions align with Project HOPE guidelines, donor requirements, and Nepalese tax and legal regulations.
- Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with the Finance Officer, field project teams, vendors, and HQ Finance to maintain seamless communication and submit timely progress updates.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related management field.
- Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in financial or administrative support, preferably within an INGO, NGO, or emergency humanitarian response environment in Nepal.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting practices, payment processing, petty cash management, and Nepalese tax compliance. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is required; experience with accounting systems (such as NetSuite) is desirable.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Nepali and working proficiency in English.
