Open Positions & Key Responsibilities

1. Finance and Subgrants Officer

• Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage effective financial and compliance oversight of subgrants within the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and implement annual partner monitoring plans alongside the Grants & Subgrants Manager.
  • Conduct regular field visits to identify financial risks, gaps, and partner capacity-building needs.
  • Review partner expenditure, process liquidations, and coordinate fund transfers to maintain uninterrupted program implementation.

2. Finance Officer – AP Payroll

• Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal (with ~20% field travel)
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day accounting, accounts payable (AP), payroll, tax compliance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary backup for the Accounts Payable (AP) module in PeopleSoft.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities in coordination with the Shared Service Centre (SSC).
  • Maintain financial controls, audit preparedness, and account code reconciliations.

3. Procurement and Supply Chain Officer

• Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong vendor relations to ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services.
  • Develop and monitor procurement plans, lease commitments, and timely supply chain delivery.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to donor requirements, CARE USA procurement policies, and organizational compliance guidelines.

4. Finance and Sub Grant Officer (Nurture Every Future - Poshan)

• Duty Station: Madhesh Province, Nepal
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial management, compliance, and sub-grant monitoring for the Nurture Every Future (Poshan) project.
  • Conduct partner coaching, financial reviews, and technical support to strengthen financial reporting and capacity.
  • Coordinate fund disbursements, budget revisions, and accounting transactions in compliance with internal controls.
