BBC Media Action Nepal is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join their team as a Research Officer!

💼 Position Details & Requirements:

📌 Position: Research Officer (Grade C)

🔹 Location: Kathmandu (with possible travel to field locations)

🔹 Contract: 6 Months (with possibility of extension subject to funding)

🔹 Reports To: Research Manager

🔹 Qualification: University degree in Social Sciences, Mass Communication, or a related field.

🔹 Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in research management with strong technical expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.

🔹 Key Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA), data analysis, report writing, presentation development, and field management.

🔹 Preference: Candidates with experience in humanitarian work, emergency response, or disaster recovery.

📋 Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Design and conduct rapid assessments, baseline/endline surveys, and impact evaluations.

🔹 Lead field data collection, manage field researchers, and ensure ethical practices and safeguarding standards.

🔹 Analyze qualitative & quantitative data and synthesize insights for production and project teams.

🔹 Prepare high-quality research reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
