About NFWLHA

The National Federation of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (NFWLHA), established as a loose network in 2006 and officially registered in 2007, is dedicated to creating an equitable society for women and children infected and affected by HIV. Operating on principles of gender equity, human rights, and evidence-based policy advocacy, NFWLHA is currently implementing the Treatment, Care and Support Program across 25 districts in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces with funding from The Global Fund through UNDP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Operations: Handle day-to-day data entry, process vendor/staff payments, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain financial logs per NFWLHA policies.
  • Financial Management & Budget Tracking: Track program expenditures, assist in budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and enforce compliance with donor standards.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Prepare monthly statements of expenditure, produce regular budget-monitoring reports for management, and assemble documentation for financial audits.
  • Administrative & Petty Cash Support: Manage petty cash funds, handle financial clerical tasks, and represent the finance unit in stakeholder meetings when required.

Eligibility Criteria & Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting (preferably in the NGO/INGO sector).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (FAMOUS, True Books, or Tally preferred).
  • Project Familiarity: Prior experience handling Global Fund projects and working knowledge of HIV/AIDS-related programs, gender equity, and social inclusion (GESI) are highly advantageous.
  • Languages: Full working fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English.
